Day of Details for Couples Eloping at That Chapel Downtown

If you are eloping at That Chapel Downtown and received your 60 days out email… Hi!! We are so excited to have you in and cannot wait to see you! Also… don’t forget to make your final payment 😊. If you are here and haven’t booked – this will help you get an idea of what to expect the day you arrive to That Chapel Downtown to get married!

Let’s jump right in!

After Booking

Immediately after booking any of our Chapel or Ceremony Set Packages, you receive:

• an additional proposal with all of your Add On options. You are NOT required to book in any of our in house services! They are just there to make everything easier! You can let the proposal expire if you do not need anything else from us!
• a New Client Questionnaire – a few quick questions to ensure we have both partner’s names.
• Song Choice Questionnaire – if you are using our in house music, make your selections! If you are not, still fill it out so you stop getting the alerts.

Final Countdown Email

60 days before your wedding, you will hear from us again! This is just a check in – reminder to fill out any unanswered Questionnaires! Your officiant and any vendors we are providing to you, will be reaching out to you within the next 30 days! If you are unsure on a day of timeline – click here to view a sample one!

The Day Of

We aren’t your planners or day of coordinators, so what you’re doing before you arrive is up to you! Please arrive 5 minutes before your booking and please remember to steer clear of the entrance if there is another wedding exiting or getting their final pics! We are sticklers on timing and will ensure they are out when they are supposed to be.

Couple Arrival

As mentioned, please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your booking. If you get there early – there are tons of photo locations seconds away to snap some quick shots until we are ready for you! If you are using one of our photographers – they already know the drill!

At your 5 minute mark – head over and inside! Dependent on your package, you will be greeted by your Chapel Host and/or your Officiant! They will guide you through the paperwork and then you might have some time for couples photos before your guests arrive.

Are you doing a First Look?

If you aren’t ignore this. If you are – again, we aren’t there to coordinate it BUT here’s what you should do to pull off the perfect First Look!

1. Arrange two separate modes of transportation and have your photographer travel with the person arriving to the Chapel first. We will call the first person arriving to the Chapel – Person A.
2. When Person A arrives – they will meet with the officiant and review details (you both will do the paperwork after the ceremony).
3. Depending on how you are doing your first look – either privately before the ceremony or walking down the aisle – tell your Photographer & Officiant (during your call before meeting) and they will assist you with the proper arrangements!

Guest Arrival

As we are not your planners or day of coordinators, we do have eyes and will let you know when we see your guests are arriving! If you have an idea as to how you’d like that to go – please confirm with your Transportation to text you or your partner when guests are 5 minutes out. There are places inside the chapel where we can conceal you (and you walk around the back or drive) to make your entrance without being seen. You can also hangout in TopCats Tattoo Parlor next door! Fun little place to chill while you wait!

Your Chapel Host will get your guests seated and alert you both when everything is ready! From there, you’ll know what to do from your conversation/s with your Officiant & Photographer… and the show begins!

The Ceremony

Our officiants provide 3-4 minute ceremonies on average. When you are connected with your officiant (dependent on your package) you can decide the details that would lengthen or shorten your ceremony.

Your Officiant reaches out to you about 1 month before your wedding to schedule a time to connect.

After The Ceremony

You and your partner should walk back up the aisle together, stopping just before the ledges for another kiss with your guests in the background! Then head outside for a quiet moment alone (with your photographer) before coming back in for photos with your friends and family for the remainder of your booking.

Other Details

Music

We provide a Song List to choose your processional and recessional songs but you can absolutely play your own music – we just require one of your guests to be your music person – press play, stop and press play again 🙂 You receive a reminder to send your Spotify Playlist to The Chapel in your 60 & 30 Days out emails!

Cake Cutting

Yes! You can cut your cake at the Chapel! We provide a gold cake knife set & a faux marble table with your rental. Please come with your cake and please plan to take it with you or throw it out when you leave. We do not provide: cake plates, forks or napkins. You can bring these items but again, please ensure you and your guests throw their garbage away.

Changing/Getting Ready Rooms

We have two bathrooms that you can get ready in, freshen up in and take pictures in! You should stay within your time though!

First Dance

If you got the Don’t Want to Miss a Thing package and/or handling your own music, you can have a first dance!
